One World, One People – A Reflection on Earth, Leadership, and Unity
This past week brought two incredible moments of inspiration.

First, I had the privilege of meeting with Senator Cory Booker and former Arizona Senator Jeff Flake, who also served as U.S. Ambassador to Turkey. We discussed politics, the current global climate, and where we’re headed. Their insights were grounded, thought-provoking, and filled with genuine hope for our future.
Then I witnessed something equally moving: the return of six women from space aboard Blue Origin—a crew representing many cultures and countries. One unforgettable moment stood out: during their return, Katy Perry, one of the passengers, sang “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong.
When asked what moved them most, one astronaut shared something that struck me to my core:
“Looking out the window, the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen… was Earth. And I couldn’t wait to come home.”
Let that sink in.
Earth is our home.
Not a country, not a city or a state—but the planet itself. It’s fragile. It’s breathtaking. And it belongs to every living being.
Borders and politics do not define it—it is defined by life, connection, and responsibility. We must cherish it, protect it, and be grateful for it every day.
That same spirit of unity and hope came through in my conversations with both Senator Booker and Senator Flake. As they suggested—and I believe deeply:Man did not create planet Earth, but man did create borders and politics.
But Earth?
That’s the gift.
The shared home.
As we celebrate Easter this Sunday, I’m reminded that we are all stewards of this beautiful planet. Let’s choose to live with compassion, gratitude, and purpose.
We are One World. One People.
Let’s never forget how precious that is.
Happy Easter—and thank you, God, for this incredible home we all share. 🌍🙏
